Grant Description
Application purpose: The purpose of this grant is to fund the replacement of 2008 ORION forty-foot diesel coaches with up to 15 forty-foot replacement hybrid diesel-electric buses associated services specification preparation review inspection training tools and parts for the Beeline bus system.
The buses to be replaced were manufactured in 2008 and are 17 years old.
Activities performed: Replacement of 2008 ORION forty-foot diesel coaches with up to 15 forty-foot replacement hybrid diesel-electric buses associated services specification preparation review inspection training tools and parts for the Beeline bus system.
Expected outcomes: Replacement of older Beeline system buses with newer buses will increase reliability reduce maintenance costs reduce fuel and improve air quality by reducing emissions.
Intended beneficiaries: Beeline system patron and county residents. Improve system reliability patron riding experience and reduction of greenhouse gases.
Subrecipient activities: None.
