Grant Description
This award obligates $145,410,000 in Section 5307 funds for New York City Transit ($136,340,000) and LIRR ($9,070,000) projects. This award uses transportation development credits for match ($29,082,000).

Section 5307 funds are from FY 2022 allocations from the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC). The regional sub-allocation resolution #544 is attached in TRAMS. A table is also attached in TRAMS under application documents to show the amounts used by fiscal year and funding program (see file: MTA Funding Allocation Usage and Availability Grant 1786-2022-4).

The MTA requests that the FTA obligate the required funds for this application from the available fund balance.

Purpose of the award - This award assists the MTA in investing in ADA upgrades to subway stations and station access improvements for LIRR.

Activities to be performed - The scope of work includes rail station ADA accessibility improvements for LIRR and NYCT.

Expected outcomes - This award supports the MTA's need to rehabilitate and replace assets to achieve a state of good repair.

Intended beneficiaries - The MTA and its ridership system-wide.

Subrecipient activities - There are no subrecipient activities with this award.
