Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this award is to provide funding to purchase hydrogen fuel cell electric buses and construct a hydrogen fueling facility.
Activities Performed: Up to two (2) hydrogen fuel cell buses will be purchased. A hydrogen fueling station will be designed and fueling equipment will be leased. An outside consultant will provide oversight for this project. This will be a sole source procurement as described in the grant application.
Expected Outcomes: This project supports RTCS effort to transition its aging diesel bus fleet to zero emission vehicles.
Intended Beneficiaries: The residents in the Reno-Sparks NV metropolitan area.
Subrecipient Activities: None.
