The Houston Health Department (HHD) provides services to the most populous city in the state of Texas and the 4th largest city in the nation with a population size greater than 15 states.
Houston is large not only in population but also in area.
At 655 square miles, the City of Houston is larger than the cities of New York and Chicago combined.
Through this funding opportunity, Houston will enhance its epidemiology and laboratory capacity across 13 various projects and programs and provide support to the surrounding counties.
