Overview
Grant Description
Overdose Data to Action in Alaska - Alaska's Department of Health (DOH) supports comprehensive efforts to improve wellness among Alaska's diverse communities.
This project, supervised and fiscally managed by the Section of Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (CDPHP), operationally managed by CDPHP's Office of Substance Misuse and Addiction Prevention (OSMAP), within the Division of Public Health (DPH), will sustain Alaska's ability to conduct comprehensive and timely surveillance efforts, previously initiated and supported under CDC's Overdose Data to Action program.
Funding will also support the continuation of evidence-based "best-practices" to share data from its AKPDMP; working with health systems and other partners to improve opioid prescribing and provision of appropriate OUD and STUD care; and working with communities to expand provision of harm reduction, linkage to care, and recovery supportive activities.
