Overview
Grant Description
The Broadband Infrastructure Deployment Project incorporates the following activities:
- Applicant will contract with an engineering firm to identify a location for a 2.5 GHz broadband tower.
- Upon completion of the planning portion of the project, contract with Specialty Telecommunications Services (STS) to construct and manage the new wireless tower.
- Complete RF engineering study for system design supported by fiber construction by STS.
Last-mile connection for community anchor institutions within minimum 25/3 Mbps.
This project's beneficiaries will be tribal community anchor institutions and 450 tribal members, 203 of which are below the 150% federal poverty level.
