Overview
Grant Description
The Broadband Infrastructure Deployment Project proposes to install fiber directly connecting 1,526 unserved Native American households, 54 community anchor institutions, and 10 businesses with fiber-to-the-home and/or fixed wireless to the home 25 Mbps/3 Mbps service.
The project proposes the following activities designed to improve access to, and use of, broadband services among tribal members:
1. Construct 77 miles of backbone and lateral fiber, plus 63 miles of drop cable, to form a link between subscribers and feeder cables creating access to high-speed internet services.
2. Place, configure, connect, and activate broadband equipment and software to operate networks, infrastructure, management, and broadband monitoring systems.
3. Construct three cellular towers to support EMS (Emergency Medical Services).
Proper casing and paragraphs have been added to enhance readability.
