Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose is to purchase articulated battery-electric buses to replace older diesel transit buses on a route between Newark and Irvington.

Activities Performed: There will be RFP bus procurement.

Expected Outcomes: The project will enable NJT to expand service in environmental justice communities without adversely impacting air quality in densely populated northern New Jersey.

Intended Beneficiaries: Residents of New Jersey and the general public utilizing the NJ Transit public transportation system throughout New Jersey, New York City, Philadelphia, PA, and surrounding areas.
