Grant Description
The Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) is applying FFY 2019 ($1457109)/ FFY 2020 ($7306359) Section 5337 (State of Good Repair) funds apportioned to the Philadelphia PA-NJ-DE-MD urbanized area in the total amount of $8763468 to:
A) Facilitate improvements to the existing PATCO High Speed Line between Lindenwold NJ and Philadelphia PA for preventive maintenance;
B) Continue the smoke fire control maintenance program;
C) Purchase train power control communications equipment and renovate office space as part of the Center Tower Relocation/SCADA project;
D) Replace electric cable throughout the subway portion of the PATCO line on the Pennsylvania side;
E) Install ADA compliant elevators at the PATCO stations;
F) Renovate subway structures owned by PATCO;
G) Undertake the PATCO Viaduct Preservation Project; and
H) Undertake the PATCO Rail Replacement Ferry Avenue to Broadway.
By executing this grant, we certify that projects funded in this grant are aligned with the 2021 TAM plan and are identified in its investment prioritization section. The non-federal share for this project will be provided by the Delaware River Port Authority.
