THE DELAWARE RIVER PORT AUTHORITY (DRPA) IS APPLYING FY 2019 US DOT BETTER UTILIZING INVESTMENT TO LEVERAGE (BUILD) TRANSPORTATION DISCRETIONARY GRANTS PROGRAM FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $12580000 TO THE REOPENING OF THE FRANKLIN SQUARE STATION.ON NOVEMBER 12 2019 THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (USDOT) ANNOUNCED ITS SELECTION OF PROJECTS FUNDED UNDER THE BUILD GRANTS PROGRAM. PLEASE SEE SELECTION OF PROJECTS ATTACHED TO THIS GRANT UNDER APPLICATION DOCUMENTS.IN THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AS DETAILED ON PAGES 3 AND 48 DRPA WAS SELECTED TO RECEIVE $12580000 IN USDOT FY 2019 BUILD GRANT PROGRAM FUNDS. A COPY OF THE COMPETITIVE PROPOSAL IS ATTACHED TO THIS GRANT UNDER APPLICATION DOCUMENTS. DRPA EXECUTED A PAPER GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE FTA ON JUNE 18 2021 (ATTACHED UNDER APPLICATION DOCUMENTS.) THE 50% ($12580000) NON-FEDERAL SHARE FOR THIS PROJECT WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE DELAWARE RIVER PORT AUTHORITY. THE REVISED TOTAL COST OF THE PROJECT ($30373416 TOTAL) REPRESENTED A $5213416 INCREASE OVER THE $25160000 ESTIMATED TOTAL COST INCLUDED IN DRPAS ORIGINAL APPLICATION; THIS INCREASE WILL BE FUNDED THROUGH THE USE OF ADDITIONAL FEDERAL (SECTION 5337) FUNDS ($4170733) AND ADDITIONAL NON-FEDERAL FUNDS ($1042683) PROVIDED BY DRPA WHICH ARE INCORPORATED INTO TRAMS GRANT #1413-2021-4.
