Overview

Grant Description
Tulsa Health Department: Beyond COVID-19 - The Tulsa City-County Health Department (Tulsa Health Department) will help its high-risk and underserved residents move beyond the threat of COVID-19 infection. Not only will direct testing and vaccination services be offered, but the organization will also work with community partners to address health, wellness, and disparity issues beyond COVID-19.

A multi-faceted approach totaling $5,975,146 will include: tailored COVID-19 testing and vaccination; information technology upgrades; enhanced data and assessment tools; improving clinic infrastructure (ventilation system, waiting room seating, improved access for people with mobility issues); a new COVID-19 Health Equity Office with community health workers; culturally specific marketing; a strategic planning consultant; new Latinx communications specialist; grant managers for CDC-RFA-OT21-2103 and with a disparities focus; improved cultural literacy through translation, interpretation, and education; improved infrastructure and marketing for the North Tulsa Community Coalition; and an investment in a primary health clinic in an underserved area with the county's highest rates of morbidity and mortality.

Successful outcomes will include reduced COVID-19 infection and hospitalization rates, as well as improved morbidity and mortality rates.
