Grant Description
Application purpose: Annual grant request for City of Lincoln StarTran reimbursement for FY 24/25 part of the preventative maintenance projects with federal FY 2021 Sec. 5307 funds of $870,934 leaving zero of the FY 2021 funding for future use.
The rest of the preventative maintenance expenses to be reimbursed is addressed in grant application 1896-2024-9 using FY 2022 Section 5307 formula funds in the amount of $479,066.
The total federal share for the preventative maintenance in the two grant applications is $1,350,000.
Activities performed: Providing bus and paratransit services for the City of Lincoln for FY 22/23 year including maintenance of vehicles, shelters, and facilities.
Expected outcomes: Continued quality service being provided to the residents, students, and visitors of the City of Lincoln.
Intended beneficiaries: Residents of the City of Lincoln, University of Nebraska at Lincoln, Lincoln Literacy.
Subrecipient activities: Organization that provides language and transportation services for immigrants.
