Grant Description
This application is to request Section 5339 funds apportioned to the City of Lincoln/StarTran (UZA - 311310) in the amount of $4088544.
Purpose: The purpose of this award is to provide funding for the purchase of (3) three electric buses to replace 3 diesel buses and other associated electric-battery charging infrastructure. Additionally, this project includes the purchase of a CAD/AVL system and employee training.

- (3) Three diesel buses will be replaced with electric buses.
- New electric charging infrastructure will be installed at 710 J. Street, Lincoln, NE.
- Employee training.
- Purchase CAD/AVL (Computer Aided Dispatch and an Automatic Vehicle Location System).
Expected outcomes: Both projects will improve the state of good repair for transit assets at City of Lincoln/StarTran.
Intended beneficiaries: Populace of the City of Lincoln/StarTran service area and local area commuters.
Subrecipients: N/A.

- TIP partnership letter (On May 8, 2019, Lincoln StarTran joined with New Flyer in partnership commitment, so for this application, we aren't able to use innovative procurement).
