Grant Description
Application purpose: Recipient is applying for RAISE grant funding in the amount of $9,965,663 federal / $41,000,000 total.
The funds will be used towards construction efforts of a new joint operations and maintenance facility to support growing paratransit and coordinated human services transportation for the City of Raleigh and Wake County.
Activities performed: Funds will be used to support construction costs of the new operations and maintenance facility.
Expected outcomes: The new paratransit operations and maintenance facility will support the City of Raleigh and Wake County in strengthening our service delivery of paratransit services.
This project is expected to enhance environmental sustainability, economic opportunity, healthcare access, quality of life, and improve mobility and community connection options for customers.
Intended beneficiaries: The new joint operations and maintenance ADA facility will provide transit patrons access to services through the GoRaleigh and Go Wake Access programs.
The new facility will make services more accessible by meeting the growing needs of these demand response programs that the existing facility is unable to accommodate future growth.
