Grant Description
Application purpose: The purpose of this multisource award is to cover 85% of the cost of one expansion bus purchased using STBG-DA FHWA funds flexed to 5307 funds, six replacement buses purchased using FY21 5339(B) funds, and one replacement bus purchased using FY22 5339(C) funds.

Additionally, 5307 from FFY21 and FFY22 formula funding will be used to supplement the purchases.

Activities performed: Activities to be performed include the purchase of one expansion bus and seven replacement buses.

Expected outcomes: Funding will allow Concord Kannapolis Area Transit to maintain an operational fleet of buses and therefore continue to provide public transit service and amenities to its customers.

Intended beneficiaries: Intended beneficiaries include the populace of the cities of Concord and Kannapolis as well as visitors to the area and commuters into and out of Charlotte.
