Grant Description
Application Purpose: Integrated Mobility Division is applying for Section 5303 Metropolitan Planning Formula from FFY21 in the amount of $208,917 and FFY22 in the amount of $2,486,758 on behalf of its subrecipients for a total of $2,695,675. In addition, Integrated Mobility Division is applying for Section 5304 Statewide Planning Formula for FFY2021 for $717,206 and FFY22 amount for $726,013 for a total 5304 amount of $1,443,219. The purpose of this award is to provide one year of funding for planning initiatives for Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs) across the state of North Carolina.

Activities Performed: These funds will be used to cover transit planning activities to include TIP/STIP/UPWP development, transit studies, and long-range plan updates, coordinated human service plans, feasibility studies, and other planning activities.

Expected Outcomes: Funding will ensure that the MPOs and NCDOT meet applicable planning requirements and future projects are appropriately programmed into local MPO documents. This planning dollars will help MPOs across the state to plan for better, more connected transit services.

Intended Beneficiaries: MPOs and the transit agencies across North Carolina will utilize this funding.
