Application Purpose:
The purpose of this award is to provide FY24 FTA 5307 Type 6 and FTA 5339 Type 5 turn-key capital cost of contracting activities and FY24 transit planning activities for the Town of Cary/GoCary during the period of 7/01/2023 to 6/30/2024. This application is for a total of $1,194,987 in FFY20 and $1,464,565 in FFY21 FTA 5307 funds and $199,973 in FFY20 and $190,999 in FFY21 FTA 5339 funds. The total turn-key estimated contract value for the period of performance (FY24) is $8,722,184. The eligible amount being requested is 80% of 50% of eligible expenses for FY24. The FFY20 and FY21 split letters for the Raleigh UZA are attached.

Activities Performed:
Funds will be used to cover eligible capital cost of contracting for the town's current turn-key transit operations contract in order to continue transit operations and also eligible transit planning expenses.

Expected Outcomes:
Funding will permit the Town of Cary/GoCary to continue to provide operations that would otherwise have to be cut due to lack of funding.

Intended Beneficiaries:
The Town of Cary/GoCary and the riders that rely on its service will benefit from continued services, permitting workers to get to work and riders to get to essential services.
