Application Purpose: This application is to fund a new administration and operations transit facility for Hoke County, North Carolina. This application will fund the project engineering and design and construction. This project is to apply for $2,652,480 in federal funds of the awarded amount of $17,275,000 million for the 2019 5339(b) Bus Bus Facility Discretionary Grant. Bus and bus facility projects awarded FFY2019 5339(b) discretionary grant on 11/25/2019. The discretionary ID is D2020-BUSC-055. Purpose of award - to construct a new transit facility for Hoke County in North Carolina. ; Activities performed: Activities to be performed - construction of an administrative and operations facility in Hoke County.; Expected outcomes: Expected outcomes - improved service efficiency, vehicle maintenance operating costs. This facility will also provide additional administrative space, a conference room for training weather briefings and staff meetings; a covered shelter for passengers to transfer from one bus to another on coordinated routes; and a safer and more secure vehicle maintenance facility which will keep the vehicles in better running order.; Intended beneficiaries: Intended beneficiaries - citizens of Hoke County, North Carolina.; Subrecipient activities: Subrecipient activities - construction of an administrative and operations facility in Hoke County, North Carolina.
