Grant Description
This grant is for Chapel Hill Transit's FY20 5339(b) award announced August 11, 2020. 100% will be spent on the purchase of seven zero-emission electric buses and charging stations.
Period of performance is 4/1/2021 to 03/30/2026. The source of local matching funds is the town's transit fund.
This request is not for research and development. We will not be applying our indirect cost rate to activities. The town of Chapel Hill is a direct recipient.
Each bus and matching charging station is currently priced on contract at $1,000,000.00 per bus and charger. Total FTA share for purchase of seven (7) 40 zero emission buses is $5,600,000.00.
Manufacturer complies with Buy America and all associated federal clauses. Original supplemental form attached.
