Grant Description
The Sealaska Corporation in Juneau, Alaska will have a greater emphasis on improving digitization efforts that will contribute to Sealaska’s goal to preserve and enhance its collections.
Additionally, Sealaska will continue to implement its ongoing goal to ensure its library resources remain current, viable, and of value to the Native and non-Native patrons.
The primary aim of Sealaska’s preservation efforts will be digitizing vulnerable collections to allow for continued access while guarding against deterioration.
To ensure its resources remain current, viable, and of value to its patrons, Sealaska will purchase new books and publications on Tlingit, Haida, and Tsimshian culture, history, and language.
Additionally, Sealaska will continue to implement its ongoing goal to ensure its library resources remain current, viable, and of value to the Native and non-Native patrons.
