Grant Description
Noaa is providing funding that will enable the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation to offer assistance to recipients of NOAA's Climate Resilience Regional Challenge Grant Program.

Priorities of the Resilience Challenge include risk reduction, equity, and enduring capacity.

As climate science and risk reduction strategies continue to evolve, this project will allow the Foundation to convene grant recipients from around the country and provide opportunities to share equitable adaptation practices that build lasting success.

The events will enhance community building and problem solving among awardees, promote professional networking across a spectrum of affiliations and backgrounds, and provide various learning opportunities for both Resilience Challenge grant recipients and fellows.

NOAA's Office for Coastal Management is implementing the Climate Resilience Regional Challenge and partnering with the Marine Sanctuary Foundation on this project.
Funding Goals
TO SUPPORT PROJECTS AIMED AT DEVELOPING A SCIENCE-BASED, MULTI-DIMENSIONAL APPROACH THAT WILL ALLOW FOR THE MAINTENANCE OR IMPROVEMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY WHILE AT THE SAME TIME ALLOWING FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH.
