Overview

Grant Description
This grant will execute three projects involving tagging and tracking Kenai River Chinook salmon juveniles and smolt to monitor migratory behaviors, overwintering areas, and movements into the Kenai River estuary.

Chinook salmon smolt in Anchor River or Ninilchik River will also be PIT-tagged to estimate annual smolt abundance; estimate marine survival; and assess the influence of size and outmigration timing of individual smolt.
