This award will allow the Water Institute of the Gulf to partner with the NOAA Damage Assessment, Remediation, and Restoration Program (DARRP) to implement priority restoration activities related to natural resource damages, such as oil spills and releases of hazardous substances.
Based on assessments and analysis by trustee councils, the restoration activities are intended to compensate for natural resource injuries and lost use of natural resources due to those injuries.
