Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
Purpose: The vision for the Idaho program is to have Snake River stocks where delisted salmon and steelhead are indicators of clean and abundant water, reliable and clean energy, a robust economy, and vibrant cultural and spiritual traditions, all of which exist within sustainable ecosystems.
This vision was inspired by the Columbia Basin Partnerships vision for the region.
The Idaho program will select projects to implement actions that will incrementally achieve PCSRF short-term and mid-term outcomes, which are compatible with the Columbia Basin Partnership sustainability goals.
Near-term outcomes: Enhanced availability and quality of salmonid habitat; improved management practices; and actions directed to address major habitat limiting factors.
Mid-term outcomes: Improved status of ESA-listed salmonids; and maintained healthy salmonid populations.
