Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
The Mitchell Act Inflation Reduction Act grant will provide much needed funding to help with the backlog of capital and maintenance projects at WDFW Mitchell Act funded facilities. This new funding opportunity will allow for improved fish health, a reduction in ongoing operation and maintenance costs, and safer working environments for staff.
Three projects have been identified as the highest priority to address with the new Mitchell Act Inflation Reduction Act funding. The two largest of the projects being proposed, at Washougal and Ringold Hatcheries, will allow WDFW to address old failing infrastructure. The three projects WDFW has identified to utilize this grant are: the Washougal Intake Replacement, the Ringold Raceways Replacement & 2.5 Acre Pond Conversion to Super Raceways, and the Lower Columbia Weir Construction Project.
