Overview
Grant Description
This project will construct a living shoreline at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, to accelerate existing efforts to provide support and implement multiple living shoreline projects to underserved communities, and to develop a resilience implementation plan to address state-wide coastal risks using large-scale nature-based solutions.
These actions will protect eroding marshes and enhance oyster reefs, protecting coastal communities and supporting habitat for 18 federally managed fish species and the forage species they depend on.
