Grant Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) award recipient is the Research Foundation of the City University of New York - The City College. This Cooperative Science Center (CSC), funded through NOAA Office of Education, Educational Partnership Program with Minority Serving Institutions (EPP/MSI), is focused on Earth Systems Science and Remote Sensing Technologies aligned with the NOAA mission.
The academic home of the center is the Grove School of Engineering at the City College of New York. This is the second five-year award cycle for the NOAA Center for Earth System Science and Remote Sensing Technologies (CESSRST-II). The purpose of this EPP/MSI CSC award is to enhance developing students through education and with internships at NOAA. The goal is to create a diverse cadre of new professionals, representative of the nation's demographics, and eligible candidates for the future NOAA mission enterprise workforce.
