Overview
Grant Description
The Town of Hempstead's project (Award #NA22SEC4690003) titled "Marine Nature Study Area Educational Displays" will design and install a new exhibit and interactive displays at the new Marine Nature Study Area (MNSA) facility in Oceanside, NY.
The Town of Hempstead will populate the new structure with educational tools, intuitive touch interfaces, colorful displays, and exhibits to make this new facility a spectacular resource to the local community and beyond.
The new interpretive center will aim to capture the imagination of the visitors and students visiting the MNSA and spark a continued interest in the natural world in their lifestyles and possibly future careers.
The historic building located at this site has hosted around 17,000 visitors per year. The new facility will offer the opportunity to provide environmental education for an even larger number of residents.
