Cooperative Agreement

Overview

Grant Description
This project will advance state-of-the-art remote sensing to provide local, state, and federal decision-makers with actionable information to improve climate adaptation and resiliency. It will accomplish this by leveraging the advances in remote sensing data and processing in the last decade.

This project is novel in that its focus is on providing timely information at the appropriate spatial resolution to meet the needs of the rapid planning processes required to address climate change impacts. In doing so, it will improve the ability of governments at all levels to address climate change in an equitable and just fashion.

Remotely sensed data is crucial to our nation's ability to plan for and respond to climate change. Remote sensing data sets provide the foundational information for understanding changes to natural and anthropogenic features on the landscape from the micro to macro scale.

Over the past decade, there have been revolutionary advances in remote sensing data and acquisition.
