Cooperative Agreement
Overview
Grant Description
In response to the direction set forth in the Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act, 2022 (P.L. 117-58), the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) proposes to partner with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to support coastal resiliency projects. These projects will help protect coastal communities from the impacts of storms and floods and enable them to recover more quickly, while also enhancing habitats for important fish and wildlife populations.
These multi-year projects will invest in a pipeline of projects that will directly result in restoration or expansion of natural features. These features include dunes, wetlands, reefs, riparian buffers, and barrier islands. They help to reduce the impacts of future storms and other naturally occurring events on human, fish, and wildlife communities.
This partnership was developed in accordance with Section 906(C) of Title IX of P.L. 114-113 (16 U.S.C. 7505(C)).
