Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
Efforts focus on the implementation of recovery plans through investment in and support of high-priority actions addressing key limiting factors to salmon and steelhead production and habitat, with an emphasis on riparian restoration and projects that result in lasting improvements to ecological function and process.
The goals are to:
I) Invest in and manage grants for large-scale restoration and conservation strategies that address multiple salmonid limiting factors, including climate change impacts to vulnerable salmon and steelhead species, through coordinated investments.
II) Conduct critical monitoring of salmon and steelhead populations and their habitats, as well as large-scale effectiveness monitoring. This will support tracking and reporting of ecological outcomes associated with coordinated investments in salmon recovery.
III) Enable strategic action planning that ensures prioritization and ultimate implementation of high-impact restoration and conservation projects benefiting salmon and steelhead.
