Grant Description
THE GOAL OF THIS PROJECT IS TO DEVELOP A NOVEL NANOPHOTONIC COMPUTING ARCHITECTURE FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE COMPUTING OF MULTIPLY ACCUMLATE (MAC) OPERATIONS TO REACH AN UNPRECEDENTED COMBINATION OF FAST COMPUTATION SPEED AND HIGH POWER EFFICIENY. THIS EFFORT WILL AIM TO DEMONSTRATE SOLVING OF THERMAL CONDUCTION EQUATIONS WITH >100 TIMES BETTER POWER EFFICIENCY THAN STATE OF THE ART GPU UNITS.

THIS BROAD AGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT (BAA) CONSTITUTES A PUBLIC NOTICE OF A COMPETITIVE FUNDING OPPORTUNITY AS DESCRIBED IN FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) 6.102(D)(2) AND 35.016, AS WELL AS 2 C.F.R. 200.203.
