Grant Description
Application purpose: The purpose of this award is to provide 1 year of operating assistance, 1 year of preventive maintenance, and 1 year of transit planning.
City Utilities will request a waiver for the required 1% dedicated to security and combine it with the .75% safety to cover the security contract reimbursement.
The time frame of coverage for this grant will be covering the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2024.
Activities performed: Funds will be used to cover all eligible preventive maintenance, transit planning, and operating expenses such as driver salaries, administration salaries, and fuel.
Expected outcomes: Funding will permit City Utilities Transit to meet preventive maintenance standards, continue to provide operations, keep rolling stock vehicles in a state of good repair, and ensure planning requirements are completed.
Intended beneficiaries: City Utilities Transit staff and the riders that rely on public transportation service will benefit from continued services.
