Grant Description
Application Purpose:
The purpose of these funds is to be used for operating expenses at 50% for rural public transit and intercity bus providers, 80%/20% for project administration state administration, the purchase of two motorcoaches, and for RTAP to support training and technical assistance activities for rural public transit providers through the Rural Transportation Assistance Program (RTAP).

Activities Performed:
The activities to be performed will cover transportation expenses for rural public transit and intercity bus providers, as well as support for training and technical assistance activities for rural public transit providers through the Rural Transportation Assistance Program (RTAP).

Expected Outcomes:
The expected outcomes are to assist subrecipients with operating expenses, capital expenses, and state administration, as operating costs continue to rise. In addition, provide subrecipients with the necessary training and technical assistance.

Intended Beneficiaries:
The intended beneficiaries are 23 rural public transit providers, 6 intercity bus providers, and grant recipients by providing training and technical assistance to rural public transportation providers through the Rural Transportation Assistance Program (RTAP).

Subrecipient Activities:
The subrecipient activities under this grant are to assist subrecipients with operating assistance for transportation-related expenses, as operating costs continue to rise. In addition, provide subrecipients with the necessary training and technical assistance through the Rural Transportation Assistance Program (RTAP) to ensure federal funds received are expended in accordance with federal requirements.
