Grant Description
Award Purpose
The State Information Data Exchange System (SIDES) is an automated system that allows electronic transmission of information requests from state unemployment insurance (UI) agencies to employers and/or third party administrators (TPAs), as well as transmission of replies containing the requested information back to the state UI agencies. Congress provides authority for DOL to make subscription payments on behalf of states for SIDES.
Activities Performed
Activities include programming to support and enhance the UI SIDES application software suite. It also includes the administration of the UI SIDES system for the states, employers, and third party administrators (TPAs) for both SIDES web services and SIDES e-response systems. Other activities include national SIDES training seminar and marketing of SIDES to employers and TPAs.
Deliverables
Maintain, operate, and update the SIDES web services and e-response systems and its various data exchange modules.
