Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this award is to provide PVTA with funding for a program of planning and capital projects that enhance regional planning efforts, maintain vehicles and buildings in a state of good repair, and provide essential services.

Expected Outcomes: These activities will allow PVTA to continue to support the community by maintaining a safe, reliable, and efficient public transportation system in the Pioneer Valley. Assets will be maintained in a state of good repair and upgraded in accordance with PVTA's Transit Asset Management Plan. Additionally, support for PVTA's non-fixed route ADA paratransit service will ensure PVTA's continued compliance with ADA requirements to provide accessible service to eligible customers.
Intended Beneficiaries: The populace of the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority service area and local area commuters.
Subrecipient Activities: Pioneer Valley Planning Commission (PVPC) will be receiving $196,000 in federal funds as a subrecipient of PVTA under this award to perform planning activities.
