Grant Description
Application purpose: The purpose of this award is to provide funding for the NO EMISSION BUS and INFRASTRUCTURE PILOT PROJECT.
Activities performed: Activities include purchasing two (2) electric buses w/roof rails for charging, installing battery charging infrastructure at the A. Phillip Randolph Facility (2817 Canal Street New Orleans LA 70119) and field charging units at the New Orleans East Hub (5641 Read Blvd. New Orleans LA 70127), and providing project administration for this grant.
Expected outcomes: Maintain NORTA's goal for riders to have a safe, reliable, and first-class service in addition to reducing carbon emissions in the New Orleans metropolitan area.
Intended beneficiaries: The intended beneficiaries are the commuters and community members of the New Orleans metropolitan area.
Subrecipient activities: N/A
