Cooperative Agreement
Overview
Grant Description
Annual grasses are a growing issue in the state of Wyoming. This has led to a large increase in hazardous fuels, changing the shape of wildfire on our BLM lands. It has also started to change natural habitat for wildlife and grazing habitat.
This proposal is a combination of the Kemmerer BLM District, Lincoln County Weed and Pest, Wyoming Game and Fish, and subsequent permitees of the described area. We work in conjunction with the fire and fuels personnel, range cons, and permit holders while determining how to treat the noxious weed infestations in the area.
Our proposal will be in total cooperation with BLM personnel and the permitees that they represent. All of the work that is done is agreed upon by each entity. This way, all parties have a say in this process. We hold quarterly meetings and countless phone calls to organize this effort.
