Overview
Grant Description
Application purpose: Replace 8 diesel buses with CNG buses and upgrade CNG facility/equipment.
Lextran will be using a 3rd party contractor for the bus purchases and will ensure that these vehicles are ADA accessible and purchased from an FTA approved TVM.
Lextran will report to FTA within 30 days after the contract is signed.
Lextran will check the current listing of Transit Vehicle Manufacturers (https://www.transit.dot.gov/regulations-and-guidance/civil-rights-ada/eligible-tvms-list) to ensure the buses are certified and in compliance with FTA regulations.
Lextran will follow all 3rd party procurement policies as defined in C4220.1F (Third Party Contracting Guidance).
Lextran will ensure contractors procured will not be on the FTA suspension and debarment list.
Activities performed: Purchase of rolling stock miscellaneous support equipment maintenance facility upgrades employee training.

Intended beneficiaries: Transit riders in Lexington-Fayette County;
Subrecipient activities: Lextran will not be using subrecipients for the 5339 funding.
