Grant Description
Application Purpose: Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is making a partial application of $8890907 out of the available funding of $11570906 for Section 5339(B) FY23 competitive funding. Original grant purpose: is to secure the 5339(B) FFY23 partial funding for Section 5311 agencies that requested: replacement (12) and expansion vehicles (30) transit equipment (20)-laptops; furniture/desk units; HVAC; generators and one facility renovation and construction of facility that has NEPA approval.

The remaining funds will be applied for once NEPA has been approved. To secure funds for (12) replacement vans (30) expansion vehicles in order to maintain fleet and expand services (20) laptops; furniture/desk units; (2) HVACs (2); generators. (12) Smart Box Bus Announcement Messaging Systems for PTA; (1) renovate HCCA facility and construct new (1) Pennyrile Allied Community Services administrative/maintenance facility-area damaged with Western KY tornado; (1) LKLP administrative facility in Letcher County Whitesburg KY area damaged by Eastern KY floods.

Intended beneficiaries: this should allow for more information for the passengers. Passenger messaging will assist riders. Benefit general public. Subrecipient activities: actual request procurement approvals make procurements install equipment request reimbursement
