Grant Description
Application purpose: The purpose of this award is to provide funding for Fort Wayne Public Transportation Corporation (FWPTC) to purchase hybrid buses to replace buses that have met their useful life in before 2024 and through 2026 for the period of 1/01/2025 to 12/31/2029.
Activities performed: Funds will be used to purchase hybrid buses and provide workforce development for the operation and maintenance of the buses.
Expected outcomes: Funding will allow the FWPTC to ensure the fleet of buses is in a state of good repair with a spare ratio that will ensure reliable transit service in Fort Wayne.
Intended beneficiaries: The Fort Wayne Public Transportation Corporation current service riders and future riders will benefit from a fleet in a state of repair that ensures reliable transportation services in Fort Wayne.
Subrecipient activities: None.
