Grant Description
Application Purpose: This project will fund the rehabilitation and accessibility improvements of the 95th Street / Chicago State University station on the Metra Electric Line in Chicago.
Activities performed: The project includes the replacement and rehabilitation of station platforms, construction of new accessible station paths, elevators, and other accessibility related improvements including new wayfinding signage, audio and visual communication systems. Non-accessibility related improvements will be funded by other grants.
Expected outcomes: The improvements will bring the station into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990.
Intended beneficiaries: The intended beneficiaries of the project include all users of the 95th Street / Chicago State University station, particularly those with disabilities.
Subrecipient activities: None.
