Grant Description
This application is to request Section 5310 funds apportioned to the Chicago IL UZA 170030 and Round Lake Beach IL UZA 173780 in the amount of $7,227,111 for multiple subrecipients. FY2020 funding of $3,384,819 from Chicago IL UZA 170030 and $190,933 from Round Lake Beach IL UZA 173780; and FY2021 funding of $3,454,210 from Chicago IL UZA 170030 and $197,149 from Round Lake Beach IL UZA 173780.

Purpose: Provide operating capital and mobility management assistance to ten subrecipients. Activities to be performed: Funds will be used to cover eligible operating costs, mobility manager salaries, purchase of software/hardware, and study for consolidation/coordination of services.

Expected outcomes: Funding will improve transportation needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities by removing barriers and expanding mobility options. Intended beneficiaries: Seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Subrecipient activities: The ten subrecipients utilize operating funds to transport seniors and individuals with disabilities, purchase trip planning software, develop a mobile application to schedule, pay and track rides, a study to explore ways to coordinate and consolidate services, and administration of the Section 5310 program.

The local match for the subrecipient projects is provided by each subrecipient and detailed in the local share certification document attached. No RTA funds are required to support the projects.
