Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
Wyoming State Opioid Response Project (WYSOR) - The Wyoming State Opioid Response (SOR) project aims to enhance access to opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment, focusing on coordinated care, recovery support services, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), to reduce OUD prevalence and related fatalities.
The project's goals and objectives are data-driven, culturally sensitive, and designed to foster a community of health across all populations.
Our approach includes developing and supporting local prevention collaborations, improving treatment and recovery services, and backing current harm reduction initiatives to implement best practices for addressing the full continuum of care for opioid misuse, abuse, and dependency.
Key activities of the Wyoming SOR project include:
Promoting and expanding naloxone distribution.
Addressing the needs of justice-involved populations through increased access to services and supports.
Expanding access to medication-assisted treatment and other opioid use disorder treatment supports and stimulant use disorder services.
Enhancing access to recovery support services.
Providing targeted support for transitional-aged youth to ensure seamless access to prevention, treatment, and recovery services.
