Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
Wyoming SOR Project 2022 - The overarching goal of the Wyoming State Opioid Response (SOR) Project is to increase access to opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment, including coordination of care, recovery support services, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), in order to reduce the prevalence of OUD and death. All proposed goals and objectives under the Wyoming SOR Project are data-driven, culturally appropriate, and aim to cultivate a community of health among all populations.
The project approach includes developing and supporting local-level prevention collaborations, improving treatment and recovery services, and supporting current harm reduction initiatives to develop and implement best practices that comprehensively address the full continuum of care related to opioid misuse, abuse, and dependency.
The proposed activities within the Wyoming SOR Project include:
1. Promoting and building naloxone distribution.
2. Increasing localized school-based community prevention efforts and state-level information distribution.
3. Expanding access to MAT and other OUD treatment supports.
4. Expanding access to recovery support.
Proper casing and paragraphs have been added to the text.
