Project Grant
Overview
Grant Description
Florida Soc Expansion and Sustainability Project for St. Lucie and Martin Counties. - To improve mental health health outcomes of children and youth with serious emotional disturbance and their families, Florida proposes to continue implementation of system of care to two distinct local jurisdictions, St. Lucie and Martin Counties.
Both sites have behavioral health disparities. Access to care needs will be addressed through outreach and engagement with traditional and non-traditional services and supports, training and coaching of evidence-based practices (EBPs).
A coordinated specialty care program will "catch" youth with early onset of SED or first episode of psychosis between youth and adult mental health systems as well as provide best evidence-based practices for this group.
Additionally, one project goal is to increase the use of suicide care EBPs by increasing workforce trainings and providing quantifiable efforts in zero suicide care pathway.
