Overview
Grant Description
Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRT) - The Mobile Crisis Response Teams/Crisis Care Mobile Units Program, operated by Stanislaus County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS), will provide in-the-field services to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, including mental health crises, substance use crises, or co-occurring mental health and substance use crises.
Funding allocated to the program will expand mobile crisis services to prevent and divert individuals from involvement in the criminal justice system. In partnership with the Modesto Police Department (MPD), Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office (SO), and other first responder partners, BHRS will provide mobile crisis services to reach Stanislaus County residents where they are, including at home, school, the workplace, or any other community-based location. Services to individuals 25 and younger will be prioritized.
The Mobile Crisis Response Teams/Crisis Care Mobile Units Program includes appropriate staff, acting within their scope, who can assess the needs of individuals and provide direct treatment services. Crisis-trained mental health clinicians will provide triage, screening, crisis assessment, de-escalation, resolution, peer support, coordination with medical and behavioral health services, crisis planning, and follow-up.
