The Tikvah Institute: The Jewish Civilization Project
[A major three-year project to combat anti-Semitism through serious education and scholarship on the meaning, history, and influence of Jewish civilization.
This effort will include (I) the creation of a new Jewish civilization curriculum for middle school and high school students;
(II) a teacher training and school partnerships initiative aimed at bringing the serious study of Jewish civilization into American classrooms;
(III) the development and implementation of high-level university courses in the Jewish humanities, which can be adopted within major university BA programs in Western civilization;
(IV) public education on the history of Jewish civilization, the teachings of Jewish tradition, and the challenges now facing the Jewish people through online forums and events, video courses, and educational podcasts;
(V) a new series of scholarly books on the meaning of Jewish resilience in the history of the Western world;
(VI) a fellowship program for exceptional high school students, preparing them for college campus leadership;
and (VII) a fellowship program for early-career journalists.]
