Overview
Grant Description
Application purpose: To secure $166,478,165 in federal funds to be matched with $41,624,876 in local funds with a total eligible cost/grant application of $208,103,041 which will be used to provide funding to support critical MARTA capital and preventive maintenance related bus and rail activities.
Activities performed: The grant funds will be used to support preventive maintenance (bus rail) rail station rail transitway line rehabilitation fare collection and security/crime prevention activities for the authority.
Expected outcomes: Completion of the grant funded activities will improve service delivery enhance customer experience assist with meeting preventive maintenance standards and ensure that assets are maintained in a state of good repair.
Intended beneficiaries: MARTA patrons within the service area of Clayton, Dekalb, Fulton and the City of Atlanta.
Subrecipient activities: None.
