Grant Description
Application Purpose: The purpose of this award is to provide 1 year of funding for transit capital transit operations and planning activities as detailed in the Program of Projects for SFY 2024.
Activities Performed: Funds in this project will be used for the operating and capital costs associated with the management of the Albany Transit System, Athens-Clarke County Transit System, Brunswick Transit, Gainesville-Hall Transit, Liberty-Hinesville Transit, Macon-Bibb County Transit Authority, the City of Rome Transit System, and Cartersville.
Expected Outcomes: Funding will ensure Albany, Athens, Brunswick, Cartersville, Hinesville, Macon, Rome, and Valdosta operate continued safe and effective transit services.
Intended Beneficiaries: Transit agencies and transit system riders across the state of Georgia.
